The Armistice Poppy Appeal Cup

The Poppy Appeal Golf Competition is organised under the auspices of the Standard Athletic Club in aid of the Royal British Legion will be held on Wednesday 8th November at the Golf de Villarceaux.

in aid of the Royal British Legion
will be held on Wednesday 8th November
at the Golf de Villarceaux

Scramble (2 or 3 ball) depending on numbers
‘Give and take’ (maximum value 10€)
Tee off shot-gun 9.00am for 9.30am start after draw for teams
Green fee (for non-Villarceaux members) 42€
Lunch will be available at a cost of 27€
A collection box of poppies will be available in the Clubhouse

Spring Cup and Autumn Vase

The section has been sponsoring the Spring Cup and the Autumn Vase competitions (open to Villarceaux members) since 1981.

The last Autumn Vase was held on Saturday 14 September 2019; the next Spring Cup (the 40th) will be held as usual on Saturday 29 May.

Matches

The Section participates in two matches that take place annually. The Centenary Cup, initiated in 1990, to celebrate the founding of the SAC in 1890, and the Riders Cup, where we take on the Swedes (AGSF / Svenskgolfen), usually in the autumn.
