Work-out Gym Room
The Standard Athletic Club has a small but well equipped
work-out room. For safety reasons children under sixteen are prohibited from using
the room.
Step
and Sculpt and Pilates Classes
We currently hold these classes at the
following times:
MONDAYS
10.00am Step and Sculpt
10.45am Pilates Sculpt
WEDNESDAYS
2.15pm Step and Sculpt
SATURDAYS
10.00am Step and Sculpt
11.45am Pilates Sculpt
Fitness Tip
If you are only taking the Step and Sculpt class once a week or you can't make
the classes that we offer here at SAC, think about starting a walking program.
It is suggested that you should start off with a brisk 10-minute walk and
building up slowly so that you're walking 45 minutes a day at least three to
five times a week. Walking is great for general fitness and a healthy heart; it
will also tone up your legs and help you burn extra calories (kilos). As always, check with your doctor before starting any
exercise programme.
GYM ROOM - R U L E S
The gym room is an area for physical exercise and relaxation. Consideration for others must be the aim of all users of the gym room.
Please:
- wear appropriate sports clothing while exercising (jeans are not permitted)
- for reasons of hygiene, place towels on the equipment during use or wipe the equipment after use
- wear clean gym shoes
- throw your empty bottles, cups and beakers into the waste-basket provided for them
- close the window, lock the door and put the key back into its holder after using the gym room (so as to avoid young children hurting themselves with the equipment)
Food must not be brought into the gym room.
All equipment should be left in full working order - and the gym room in general should be left in a perfect state of cleanliness, for the benefit of the next users.
Gym equipment can be dangerous: UNDER-16s are NOT ALLOWED into the gym room.
The SAC cannot be held responsible for any accident arising from negligence, misuse of the gym equipment or failure to respect the above mentioned rules.
